The ISA Exam at BYUH

The ISA (Information Systems Analyst) Exam is used by the BYUH Information Systems department to evaluate student progress compared to a national average. Certain classes (for example, IS 307, IS 330, IS 409, and IS 410) require students to achieve specific scores to enter or pass the class. Other classes (for example, IS 110) may give extra credit for taking the test. It is a graduation requirement that each IS student take both parts of the ISA during their last semester of schooling so we can assess learning and identify topics that need better teaching. More on IS department policy can be found here.

The ISA exam is typically administered by teachers directly in class for those classes that use it. Make-up and non-class testing are available through Scott Mikolyski in GCB 117. See him to schedule a time, get set up, and take the exam. Students are allowed to take each part of the exam once each 30 days.

Each student is allowed to have one testing login. This helps enforce the 30-day waiting period and helps us tie scores back to individual students. If you forget your password, see Bro Colton in GCB 130B to have it restored.
